That's 2005 Audi A6 C6 (Typ 4F) Yes, they probably didn't pay brand rights, like the VWs in that TV series |

In the case of "Desperate Housewives," I think the brand is covered up because of a product placement deal. In some cases, brand logos are obscured because the company hasn't given the production permission to show the logo. In the case of "Sous le soleil," I think the reason is slightly different. In some European countries, TV shows that receive (or on networks that receive) state funding can't show actual brands or have a product placement deal without full disclosure to the audience. I remember a West-German TV-commercial of the mid-80ies for AVIS Rent-a-Car. A guy sits beside his broken car, which was falling into pieces. I saw the "making of" this spot, how the car was prepared, that it felt apart as it should be. But later on, in the original commercial they had covered the C-pillar of the car with an afterwards electronic mad black triangle, that the car couldn't be identified. It was a Skoda 105. -- Last edit: 2009-02-17 19:48:16 |
