It is a 1937 Packard but a Twelve ( fifteenth series model 1507 built september 1936 to august 1937) as shown by the linear trim on the sides of the hood .Super Eights had a row of four separate trapezoidal motifs.The 1937 Packards had a 30° slant of the radiator shell and front doors opening in the safe direction.It has a Custom all weather town car body that is neither factory standard nor Le Baron.It may be Rollston of New York or Brewster but need more search to find this particular body in reference books. |

This is a 1937 Packard Twelve LeBaron All-Weather Cabriolet. The tell-tale signs are the mirrors mounted on the windshield frame. Both Derham and Rollston took production limousines and modified them. Of the existant examples, none have mirrors on the right side. The car in the picture is a Cabriolet...not a Town Car. The Town Car body style was on the 1508 chassis and has the quarter windows. |

It's a little too dark. I think that's why I didn't replace in the first place. The current pic shows more detail. |
