Plate is not clear but is from 1936 to 1939 The car of the main pic is a Madrid's Taxi. In others scenes of the movie actors used, I suppose, same model. |

Very nice 1936 (or early 1937) 11 A Familiale There's already a bootlid (since September 1935), but the rear door are still the long ones, mirrored front doors. Overriders and painted headlights pretend to be post-war. Edit: there's an '11' writing on the right rear wing, never seen that before (only similar '15' on 1955 15CV Six). -- Last edit: 2009-02-04 18:57:09 |

Maybe specific to spannish market? Dear Mike, where did you find these type A for a 11?... I only know a "A" for the 7, that became 7B and 7C later. Wasn't the 1st 11 just named as "11" or "11 Légére", then "11 B" , "11BL" in 1937 . |

The 11A was made from 1934 untill 1936 and was then replaced by the 11B This familiale has the Michelin "Stop" wheels instead of the "Pilote" wheels and looks like a 1936 or 1937 model, equipped with the large backdoors an the open boot. |

I found this 'A' name in my Dutch version of a book about the Traction by Jacques Borgé and Nicolas Viasnoff. According to them the 11A changed int 11B in February 1937. But for me it's OK to drop the A, just to keep things as they are... Edit: I don't know wether that 11CV logo on the rear is typical for the Spanish market... Maybe it is, and maybe the Famiale was called Familiar? Necesitamos ayudo de nos amigos de España... -- Last edit: 2009-02-10 17:35:01 |

The character driving the truck racing against this Citröen decides to crash against it because "it's one of the new ones, too fast for us". I guess that explains the effort to make it look post-war. |
