I believe the chrome trim at top and bottom of grille makes this a 1963. Headlight also seem 1963, 1964 were more enclosed. Comments. -- Last edit: 2009-01-28 04:52:22 |

1963. It is a pillared sedan so is most likely a Laurentian. |

I thought they are Canadian made for the Australia market |

Yes Canadian, built on Chevy frames. We had them here in NZ too. Locally assembled Laurentian sedans and a few wagons and Parisienne hardtops imported fully assembled. Only a few dozen units each year. |

I think this is more likely Pontiac Laurentian than Parisienne due to the side trim... Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" |

As per above comments, Laurentian, not Parisienne. The 1963 Pontiac Parisienne was only pillarless/hardtop. A pillared Parisienne wasn't offered until 1964 (at this point, the Laurentian was discontinued). No idea why GM bothered selling Pontiacs/Chevrolet in Australia in the 1960s. They were nearly 3 times the price of a Holden Special (meaning almost no one could afford one) and they only sold maybe 500 a year. Resale value was shocking, because they were huge and thirsty and nobody wanted them once they got old. -- Last edit: 2020-10-13 14:25:19 |
