according to wiki Japan had only 2 types of armoured cars in WW2 and before - the Type 93 - Sumida type 2593 http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/wheeled/sumida-type-2593/ But bot were 6x6 so this is either something Chinsese or made for movie -- Last edit: 2013-08-14 11:21:02 |

Please check your sources better next time Japan had several different types of armoured cars prior to WWII, not just two. This looks like a fusion of a Vickers-Crossley AC and a Chiyoda AC. What's for sure is that they would almost certainly not be able acquire an authentic Japanese AC for the shoot, given the fact that close to none survive intact, let alone in working order as depicted above. Most definitely a M4M. |

It's supposed to be a Type 87 (Vickers-Crossley Armored Car in Japanese service) the turret is unmistakable. |



Japan had several different types of armoured cars prior to WWII, not just two. This looks like a fusion of a Vickers-Crossley AC and a Chiyoda AC. What's for sure is that they would almost certainly not be able acquire an authentic Japanese AC for the shoot, given the fact that close to none survive intact, let alone in working order as depicted above. Most definitely a M4M.
