1948-54 GMC. Not sure of the model number/weight class. |

I'd say at least a one-ton with those indicators atop the fenders. |

Main screenshot made at 00:01:25 Driven by Mr. Old Indy himself: (00:01:22) (00:01:11 // 00:01:53 // 00:01:57) 1947-55 GMC New Design pickup with a 1947-53 cab (2-part windshield). 1947-50 door (without the 1951+ vent window) and 1949+ fuel filler cap (on the rear on the cab). All of this gives a 1949-50 model year. Unlike a "small" ½-ton 100 model, this pickup has a 2nd vertical reinforcement bar in front of the rear wheel arch. But not the small 3rd one behind it of the 1-ton 250 pickup: this means a 125¼"/3.18 m wheelbase, which is the one of both the "long" 100 and the 150 trucks. And no detail here can help to tell one model from the other. ⇒ 1949 GMC New Design -- Last edit: 2015-01-12 00:42:37 |
