It is the M2A1 version of the Halftrack as produced by Autocar and White (1943-44). |

I didn't say it was the same vehicle. .gif ":)") In the capture from Battle of Britain there's a second M2 in the background. If you look at the soldiers riding at the front of it, they match up pretty well to the ones in this shot. And the general situation -- a column of armoured vehicles with soldiers walking alongside -- matches. I'm pretty sure that this comes from the same original scene in Battle of Britain. I have enlarged this photo but can not see enough of the back to tell if it is a M3 or M2. M2 has a 10" shorter body than the M3 and the M3 has a rear door that the m2 does not have, so it could be either. It ia a M2A1 or a M3A1 as it has the pedestal mounted headlights and the pulpit armor over the co-driver. It has the rounded fenders so it is either a White, Diamond T or Autocar, as they are all the same except the size and style of their serial numbers, and Data plate.
