The long-bodied one with the spare tire on the hood.

This scene was funny, the close up looks like the soldier is directing the trucks out of a driveway, then it pans out and there just driving in a circle.

I think the front is also seen here, /vehicle_22673-IFA-P3-1962.html

If so the front looks to be based on something like the Simca 1100?

My idea, too. The front looks very much like a Simca 1100. But there was never a "Plein Air"-version, or?

Looking at it again the overall proportions are about right and the upright area of the rear section follows the rear door aperture of the Simca I think. Either a made-for-movie conversion or someone chopped the top from the Simca sedan.

Definitely a funny scene parodying the driving-in-circle technique.

Vague memory of someone like Heuliez producing a Simca 1100-based rival for Renault Rodeo/Plein Air - no idea now if just a one-off Motor show car or limited production. I can't find a match, but there were lots of other Heuliez 1100 proposals and Matra were experimenting with what eventually became the Rancho. Rear arches here seem slightly squared as if 1100 van/estate base.

Nice pics. I always liked the 1501S coupe, plus interesting Citroen M35 assembly line in 2nd pic. How did a photo of a K70 slip in to the mix ....

Because of the coloured 20 pages-story in this issue, incl. many "making of"-pics from the NSU development division :p
