Bristol VRTSL3 with Eastern Coachworks body, new as East Midland 172 (VTV172S) in 1978. The roofline was lowered slightly for the movie. After filming the bus went to the Oxford Bus Museum for spares. |

The bus, which had achieved a miserable top bid of £3,500, was the girl group’s mode of transport in the 1997 film. 'The interior is largely clear and can be readied for any kind of interior adaptation or restoration to passenger carrying format.(ANI)' According to the listing, the bus was originally built to the order of the East Midlands company for services in Nottinghamshire before it was acquired for the film. Although it appears extensively in the film, driven by Meat Loaf, the interior shots were all filmed in a studio. |

Recently Found video of the bus since it was Burred in a bus yard, : Notice how the indicators are different. The bus was vinyl wrapped but has decayed over the years. the bus is now though to be somewhere in America or Canada. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHoWMKn2v1Y |

the guy who won the bus on e bay failed to pay for it and so it remained in the uk...in 2015 it was offered for sale on the channel 4 tv show "four Rooms" by a woman who had lost storage of the vehicle....the vehicle was only used for external shots in the movie and the whole interior had been removed....the dealers who were offered the bus turned it down as not worth the hassle, however the only collectable part of the bus, the spicebus 19 destination board was sold on its own during the four rooms show when a dealer from London offered £500 for the board on condition the woman kept the rest of the bus...which she did...as of 2015 the bus ...with a scrap value of around £1,500 is still in the uk, although it has lost its provenance since the only valuable piece....the destination board...was sold sperately. |
