Wow a early 80s Dodge Ram crew cab, those are rare trucks! Where would you see about buying a truck like this? :P Its an 1982-85 model year. Id probably choose 1985 because they sold fairly well that year.

3/4 ton Power Ram 250 Im thinkin.

The front rims are 350, 1 ton style w/ the correct hub adapters. I think it was a dually and the rear wheels were replaced w/ standard style rims and the extended fender damaged/removed and not replaced? Very unlikely to add the front modifications to a 250 series.

Ive seen a couple 250s with front hubs like that. Some kids around my college drive em. Ones a 1990 and the other is a 1993. (Beautiful Dodges I may add, Cummins powered, anyway back on topic) I dont see any mark from a rear fender as well, just some rust and some faded paint. I could buy this being a 350 single rear wheel, although those are just as rare as crew cabs.

Anything Cummins powered is OK with me.

At least we can agree on something. :)

definatly a dully with the inner tires gone, look how long the rear diff is. that is also not a power ram, it is clearly a two wheel drive, in the 80's the 2wd were called rams and the 4x4's were called power rams.

I agree, it just has a power ram fender on it :)

The Ram first came out for the 1981 model year, making this a 1981-1985 model.

Wow this is painful to see. My neighbor is the one that sold this truck in order for them to put this truck in the film. And yes you are correct the truck is a dually and before they got a hold of the truck it was a baby blue and the truck was near flawless. I can remember sitting on the tailgate of this truck as a kid. And I also remember the day my neighbor put this truck up for sale. When he told us they were gonna put it in a movie I had no idea the would ruin such a beautiful truck. Which is pretty crazy for me to say since I'm not even a huge dodge fan. Lol

I know I'm late but that's painful to hear. On the off-chance that you see this comment, can you confirm if this is a regular Ram? Any other history perhaps, such as photos?

It has to be a regular ram because you can see the 2wd control arms under the front, it's not a 4x4 Power Ram. As mentioned before it used to be a dually too, as it has the wider rear axle.

A guy who lives not too far from me has a dark blue '85 Ram Crew Cab, same body-style and suspension as this one. Was parked near us yesterday outside B&Q, was so big it took up two spaces. Very cool, but seems rather impractical over here. :sun:
