Possibly a 1905 Cadillac Model F touring car, with an added running board. Need a front view to confirm.

Sorry, correct that. The car has the wrong rear suspension for a Cadillac of that vintage.

Looks very much like an early REO, such as this http://www.donbrockway.com/mccay%20fixed%201.jpg - But there's some differences, notably the form of the top of the hood. It also bears a strong resemblance to Cadillacs of the same era: http://www.pevomuc.de/100-Cadillac/PECAAR.00/1905-A/1905-1.html
Could it have been an unexacting replica made for the movie?

I came back to this one when looking to confirm something I read here - Link to "www.prewarcar.com" - no sign of the Met in this lot though. I had another look at this car and thought it looked genuine. It cartainly does have some similarities to a REO but it is in fact a Queen from around 1905. A new make on the site but there are a few surviving examples.

Would this car be one of those survivors?
