Movie goof - when the car is being driven slowly DOWN into the canyon, it runs over a rock and immediately there is a big black oil slick flowing out from under the car - presumable from a puctured oil pan. In the restored vision, the driver (Phil Silvers) makes numerous attempts to drive back up the road but can't, presumably because its too slippery from the oil. The goof is this - the car goes on and on and on until it floats away down the river, but the loss of oil never affects the engine! |

I cringe every time I watch this movie and see that oil. I have to realize that was just a clunky old used car in 1963. |

Quite true. BTW, this could also be a '47. Since we usually use the first year of a possible spread, will change this to 1947. |
