Well, looks like Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (Mitsubishi's first and initial Indonesian passenger car distributor) did retroactively marketed these here with the 'II' prefix officially. Model name is Galant II?![]() |

Sold as the Galant II officially in Indonesia as confirmed by this Mobilmotorlama article and brochure for the range topping Eterna 2.0 Super Exceed. Link to "www.mobilmotorlama.com" Sadly, it seems that information is very hard to come by for this Galant because they sold very poorly, that could be attributed to how people back in the mid-80s still had fears about transitioning from FR to FF. The FF sedan layout wouldn't be accepted until the late 80s and early 90s when the E90 Corolla TC and E30 Galant/Eterna came out. |

@lucivex - Do you know how many trim levels was sold here? Can't pinpoint this one, and I have a sense that those are E30 Galant/Eterna wheels. |

I did some research, and it seems to be only sold as the Galant II with no specific trim and most listings only refer to it as a Galant II only. There is a script on the fender for your brochure but it's practically unreadable. And yes, those are Eterna GTi rims. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8doorXydLo/?img_index=7 - page dedicated for the Eterna Super Exceed but with some nice research for this Galant gen. https://www.facebook.com/groups/745466575606416/posts/2951896374963414/ Link to "cintamobil.com" Funnily enough, it seems that the Eterna Super Exceed is by far the most common version of the Galant II. -- Last edit: 2025-09-15 13:03:17 |

Is Galant II a trim level or a Galant"Mk2" facelift?? |

The name is literally just Galant II for the Indonesian market. Most online listings and even the brochure omit any clear signs of a trim level. Though from looking at a Malaysian and Filipino variant, I could theorise that the fender script in RushCars24ID's brochure says "Super Saloon" since that trim level was available in those two countries I mentioned above. And if I remember correctly, the E30/E33A Galant or the Eterna as it was known in Indonesia also had a base model Super Saloon trim with a SOHC 4-cyl. Information is very scarce for this generation of Mitsubishi Galant in Indonesia. Not a lot of these Galant IIs survived, but the ones that survived the most were the Eterna Super Exceed versions. -- Last edit: 2025-09-16 00:01:15 |

So "Galant II" as model name?? Noted also we have no other [E12A]s listed - do we have any others lurking unrecognised?? |

Yes, Galant II as the model name. From looking at all the other 5th gen Galants, looks like this one's our first Indonesian example. |
