Not a 68. Note the "Stingray" on the side panel behind front wheel. That makes it at least a '69. Can't really see the side scoop or wheel flairs well enough to pin point 69-72. |

I came across this car for sale a while back. It's a 1972. |

Actually it's a '71. I'm looking at the May 2006 "Old Car Trader" ad right now, complete with photo. It was sold by the Volo Auto Museum, at www.volostarcars.com "1971 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible: From the movies 'Rush Hour' 1 and 2, beautifully restored, mirror finish, black paint, rebuilt 350, customized with ac, Dayton wire wheels, 2 Corvettes were built for 'Rush Hour'. One was sold after the 1st movie was made, this is the only car used in both. The dash is autographed by both Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. Fully Documented. $49,998." You may have seen the second car used from the film, which could have been a '72. Considering '71s and '72s are identical, this is very possible. |

Did anyone check out the gag for this car in the movie?, the scene where Chris drives up to take his duty,(at Consul Han's)the camera has us get a glimpse of the left rear wheel - it's sporting Rallye Rims apparent on Corvettes and Camaros of similar years, but, the remainder of the time the Vette actually has those nice wire rims, check it out ![]() |
