At least 4 stars! It is driven by two of the main characters and is seen in more then half the movie! |

From the looks of it, it is an 88-90 IROC-Z. The wheels are kind of dished and smooth. Look an awful lot like the IROC wheels. |

I don't see IROC-Z lettering on doors. |

It was in small letters on the front fenders |

This Car hav No Number Plate ... The Plate Write "Camaro" ... |

I just caught this movie again last night, and in at least one of the scenes, "RS" is visible on the ground effects. Presumably multiple cars are used, since it definitely is made to look like an IROC. RDS: Not all U.S. states require a front plate. The "Camaro" part is block-off plate if a front plate isn't being used. |

The Camaro did not have a block off plate. If your state required a front tag a bracket was bolted over the "Camaro". It was the same way on the 93+ generation except there was a bowtie there. When I moved to VA I refused to install my front plate because I didn't want to drill holes in my front fascia of my 96 Camaro |

there were 5 used for this movie, 4 of in which used used for stunt's, and which 3 of them were used for major stunts, and 1 car that was used in the only before it got all of it's dents and damage from the movie, the original car was a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro while car #2 was a 1988 Camaro, then the rest of them were 1987 Camaro's, the car up above is Car #2 which infact is an 1988, after they were done using them for filming the 3 1987's went to the scrapping yard & Car #2's Current location is unknown, as for Car #1 that car still exist today, somebody by the name of John Parnell from Japan bought it and had it exported down to Japan where it still exist today |

what was the color used on it |

These scenes were filmed in North Carolina (NC). NC does not require front plates. At least not for now, that could always change in the future. Most residents of NC will put some kind of personalized plate on the front, if the vehicle has a plate bracket. |

I bought a 1985 IROC-Z brand new at a dealership in Palmer, Mass. I was the first one I knew of that had one in that little New England community. People stared when I got it. I traded in a 1983 Z-28 to buy it. My IROC was the Electric Blue. Only used in '85. In '86, they darkened the color a bit. Kinda ruined it in my opinion. But it made the '85 stand out more. My car looked a lot like the one in Black Dog with the exception of the T-Tops, and the interior. My IROC had the 5.0 Tuned Port Injection which was plagued with malfunctions. Automatic transmission was frustrating to cruise with. Always seemed like it was in the wrong gear. I still remember the VIN. 1G1FP87F3FN129711. I will never forget it. I wonder sometimes if it is still on the road. I moved to California with it in 1986 and traded it in for a Wrangler in 1997. Still got the Wrangler. Beautiful car with a big history of unreliability. |

Mine first car was a blue 1987 T-top Camaro, nearly identical to this one. Mine didn't have the running boards or that hood, but was otherwise identical. It was beautiful and so much fun to drive! |

Ironically, I had the Camaro and my husband still has his 1986 Monte Carlo that looks just like the one in the movie. To top that, he's a truck driver, so you can imagine how much we enjoy this movie. |

What happened after filming the movie the reason I ask is that I may have found the 1989 Iroc out in Colorado in a barn same color has damage to both sides and the back window is smashed. |

My first car was a 1988 Chevy Iroc z with T tops and The esxact same color as the one in the movie. |

According to IMDb all filming locations were on the East coast. Perhaps there was a TV movie made afterwards where this car appeared, filmed in Colorado? |

The two surviving cars are here. The intact one is a 1989, unsure on the stunt car. Link to "www.thirdgen.org" https://www.drive2.ru/l/583030060475228866/ |
