The Cadillac Escalade EXT was not in production at the time of the movie's filming, General Motors had to graft together fiberglass Cadillac parts with prototype Chevrolet Avalanche pickup trucks, to create the black truck seen in the freeway chase.

What's with the blacked out headlight? Was that where a camera or something went for filming?

It's from being shot out.

It looks like a perfect square, because it is one. They made it look like the lens and cluster housing were shot out by removing the
housing and lens. The other headlamp is just missing the lens. The front end is riddled with bullet holes, except for the center grille
where the large Cadillac emblem is located (With good product placement, we can’t be having the Cadillac emblem being shot out now can we?)

If the headlamp was shot out on camera, the special effects crew probably cut out the lens, removed the lamp, filled the space with an explosive squib and then reinserted the lens so that it would be blown out neatly when they set off the squib.

I see although they should have made it more realistic looking.

Well, while the IMDb suggests that the Escalade EXT wasn't in production, I don't know then how images of the vehicle exsist for the date the movie was out, for instance, this image of an EXT is from 2002, the same year of the movie, and one has to admit, the production crew did do a good job of mock up - Link to "img2.netcarshow.com"

Its class is Pickup truck, not SUV. Same as the Chevrolet Avalanche (which the Escalade EXT is based off of)
There is no dedicated sheet-metal aft of the C-Pillar.

Chevrolet Avalanches are listed and classed as Pickups. The Cadillac version is no different.

True i did not touch that at all, i didn't notice it was listed as an SUV, i'll change it now.
