When they start, smoke comes from the front wheel, indicating FWD: |

I never knew that a Caddy this size would've been FWD, would've figured that they would have only had RWD for their products, that is until they got a hold of the Chevrolet Cavalier and called it the Cimmaron. |

the Eldorado went FWD because they wanted to look revolutionary, but they took that from Oldsmobile, an also wanted to come in to the personal luxury market, which buick created with the riviera for GM, the first personal luxury car technically was the t bird, but the riviera started all the competition because it was the best looking especially the 63-64 models |

This one had the edge it was up against a LAPD 1977 Dodge Monaco and after the chase it stalled for some dumb reason and why the Terminator does not walk out of the wrecked Police car and kill Sarah Connor right then is anyones guess personly I think that this had made more sence that Reese had managed to get the car started again and had managed to drive avay from the werecked Police car before Sarah had managed to stop Reese somehow |

Most probably it was run out of ammo (at moment its only weapon was police shotgun), so it would be forced to fight with police (they was right on their tail) with bare hands. Of course its chances to win would be high, but Reese and Sarah would be managed to escape anyhow. |

The Eldorado went front wheel drive in 1967, along with the introduction of the Oldsmobile Tornado. The Seville, introduced in 1977, was front wheel drive, and the De Ville and Fleetwood went front wheel drive in 1985 (along with the Oldsmobile 88 and 98), and the Fleetwood Brougham was introduced for that year, later changed to just Brougham in 1987 due to the confusion. Then in 1993 the Fleetwood was changed to rear wheel drive, and the Brougham was discontinued. The STS was introduced in 1992, after the Seville was dropped. In 1996 the Fleetwood was discontinued, along with the Caprice and Roadmaster, and the (unsatisfactory) Catera was introduced, then disontinued in 2001. The CTS was introduced in 2003, and in 2004 the STS went rear wheel drive on the same Sigma platform as the CTS. |

FWD Swville was introduced in 1980. |

Exactly. The first Seville was based on the RWD-Chevy Nova. |

I also got the year wrong. The Seville was introduced in 1975. |

The Eldorado did not "stalled", it couldn't go anywhere because the transmission was stuck due to Sarah Conner (plaued by Linda Hamilton) put the gear in park while the vehicle was moving. |

Well, introduced in late 1975 as a 1976 model. |

According to the novelisation, the crash was so severe the T-800 shut down and had to reboot and it chose to run instead of pick a fight it might lose. |
