The car in the center looks like a 1949 Dodge Coronet to me. Comments?? |

It certainly looks Chrysler-ish. I can say that. Yes, why not a '49 Coronet? -- Last edit: 2008-10-07 03:06:20 |

Not a Dodge Coronet. 1950 Plymouth DeLuxe Club Coupe ( P-20) |

49 and 50 Coronets 2 Door (Club Coupe) had some curved B pillar and this is completely straight; so following pilou's answer it would be, as he said, a Plymouth; but if it's a Club Coupe (the same type for 49&50) it would be a [P-18]. According to this Plymouth 49-50 [P-18] is the number model for Club Coupes Specials or De Luxe models. |

It is not a 1949 Plymouth .1949 Plymouths had vertical taillights in a chromed box on top of the rear fenders and ribbed bumpers which is not the case here. As I indicated it is a 1950 Plymouth DeLuxe Club Coupe series P-20 ( 118 1/2 inch wheelbase). The P-18 series were the 118 1/2 inch wheelbase Plymouths of the 1949 model year. This serial designation also applies to the two door Club Coupes. The short wheelbase Plymouth models ( 111 inch )were of the serials P-17 in 1949 and P-19 in 1950. |
