No idea what it is, but I would speculate it's the same bus as was used in two 1958 movies: 'Darby's Rangers' (with James Garner) to represent a London bus, also a truly bizarre appearance in the Danny Kaye musical 'Merry Andrew' (this time in colour). By comparison, the 1950 sequel 'The Miniver Story' has footage genuinely shot in London |

Striking similarity with the #9 bus in 'Midnight Lace' which nzcarnerd deduced to be based on a Fageol Safety Coach. Mention on that page of a half-cab being added later. |
