 There are no major differences between the French and British versions. By the way, the C6 debuted in UK in March 2006, so first UK model year should be 2006

 The first official C6s were on an 06 plate, indeed, but this seems to be a 55 plate, which makes me think it might be pre-series. @UKBoy205 is there a clear view of the plate? Episode itself aired March 2006.

 Very very rare here - no-one bought them, so pretty well all the UK examples ended up on Citroen's fleet or punted out to lease/rental firms at big discounts.

 So like I thought a very early press car, registered 4 months before launch. If I remember well the cars used for the press launch were all RO06 plates (like /vehicle_875490-Citro%C3%ABn-C6-2006.html), so after this car.

 I used to see a very similar one occasionally in my area, but it vanished in the last couple of years. I saw some others, mostly when it was current/recent, but it has always been very rare.

 I used to see one as well just behind my house for a while years ago, in a wonderful red paint. A great comfortable car for long journeys, though not the most reliable. For me it lacked a hatchback and an estate variant, and perhaps a more balanded styling, but in the 2000s any non-premium executive car was a poor seller, as it was also the XM in the second part of its career
