Am a bit puzzled by this for various reasons. There was no Argentine Mini builds, with South American builds limited to Chile (1964-74), Uruguay (1973-76) and Venezuela (1991-95); none of them were metal bodies - the first two were glassfibre, and Venezuela was plastic. Uruguay only did Clubman fronts. This looks like an early-mid 80s car so by default becomes UK build - perhaps 1000 HL?? - but I'm surprised if imported UK stuff was popular in RA around the film date in the aftermath of the Falklands conflict, so unlikely to be newer than 81. Also noted it has strange bumpers which look professional but not a UK format. |
