I don't think this is right! Look very closely at this picture. That is an E28 5-series (`82-`88). Notice how the front-end/kidney-grill is angled/tilted? The E30 was flat, more square. Not to mention the overal size of the car. It's a five! Not a three. |

The headrests look square to me. So I'd say it's an `85-`88 US E28. (Most US E28's are `85-`88 anyways) All E28's from `82-`84 had a dip or curve in the top of the headrest, also the front air dam was changed slightly, amoungst other minor things. |

I'm sorry to mention that but E28 is wrong. I drive regularly with an BMW 325i and that picture shows not in any case a BMW 5. It is a 1983-90 four door BMW 3 E30. 200% sure! Look at the turn signals. You'll never find an E28 with such ones. Another thing are the headlights. The E28 had big dimmed headlights and smaller high beams. Hey, "TheDriver", calm down. You are discussing EUROPEAN E28's, and failing to examine US-spec. E28's. I OWN A US-SPEC. E28 - a limited production 533i - and it DOES have these turn-signals in the bumper, and DOES have the same size headlights (low and high-beam). ALL US-bound E28's came this way. Be careful when you blurt things out without investigating. The car in this photo is definitely an E28. I can see where the confusion lies (the blinkers in the bumper). This isn't the best picture, but look at the kidney grille - see how it tilts forward (the E30 was more flat), and look at the rear bumper - no E30 has a rear bumper with that dip in it (the US E23 and E28 rear bumper had that curve/dip on the side - very hard to see in this photo). This car has squared-off headrests so it has to be an `85-`88 (the `82-`84 had curved headrests). Conclusion: as said before in my previous comments, it's a `85-`88 E28. Could be either a 528e or 535i. |
