I would opt to list it as 1967 Plymouth Sedan 4 Puertas. Like the first postwar Audi that was just called Audi. Sedan seems to be rather a chassis designation. |

By that logic, we could also list all Volkswagen Sedans as such. Citing the example of the Audi - at least that one has an advantage by having a chassis code that is memorable by heart and that you can click on. Plymouth on its own doesn't group these together conveniently. These have chassis codes, too. To me, these are easy to remember, but they don't see widespread usage on IMCDb (yet). In this case it's RH41. Or, if you want to go full, it's CR2-H-41 (or CR1 if six). The chassis codes are uniform and make sense if you know what the letters mean. For the short one: R = Plymouth mid-size, H = high or II in this case, 41 = 4-door pillared sedan For the long one: C = 1967, R = same as above, 2 = V8, H = same as above, 41 = same as above As the engine isn't always known, we may shorten it to C-RH41 if we want to list the year in the chassis code as well. For now, let's use RH41. |

Funny you should say that as for years, the Vocho was indeed referred to as "el Volkswagen" in the brochure. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/1980_bug_mexico.php https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/1986_beetle_mexico.php https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/88bug_mexico/page1.jpg |
