No, back to front, it's a US movie, so it's an International K-series. -- Last edit: 2024-06-09 15:45:39 |

Only the hood and front fenders are International. Looks like they started with a utilitarian military 6x6 chassis (Oshkosh M927 XLWB, maybe, or some version of AM General M35) and grafted on a more distinctive International front clip and the body of a school bus. The angular fenders of the original bodywork are visible behind the International's curvy ones, and the bodywork doesn't line up quite right at the firewall. The front clip and the school bus body might have come from the same donor vehicle... -- Last edit: 2024-06-09 19:08:37 |

I would say Oshkosh M927 XLWB with International Harvester K-Series front clip (assuming that is the correct chassis). It doesn't appear to have been made specifically for the movie because I've already found pictures dating to 2018: Link to "www.shutterstock.com" |

^ sounds plausible just why do you say Oshkoch and not AM General ? wouldn't they probably use an older surplus one as base vehicle ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2x4r0YjreA also not sure but did Oshkoch actually build M939 series ? or rather just refurbished old ones ? ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-06-09 20:01:02 |

I don't really have any reason to choose Oshkosh over AM General; it's not really my area of expertise. I just think it's more fun to say. ![]() License plate is dated 1951, possibly just random decoration because I don't think this is registered for road use at all: Link to "images.squarespace-cdn.com" -- Last edit: 2024-06-09 20:16:08 |
