In the chase the M logo is visible on the front and on the trunk, but even in the crash and after the crash the logo is still visible (though they could have added on a non-M car) Pictures from Ford_Guy: -- Last edit: 2017-06-16 11:49:02 |

Spectacular car scene! The car is NOT a M635csi. It is a 1987 M6 (US spec.). Towards the end of the chase, where the car flips over, it looks like they used a pre-1983 633csi (US spec.). Note the trunk-lock button is incorrect (red not chrome), when they kick open the trunk. Also note that when the car is over-steering/fishtailing into the final side-street (just before it flips over), the driver flicks the wipers and high-beams (while correcting the skid). Cool engine/exhaust sounds (could be dubbed, or may not). I don't think the sound of the horn honking is a real M6. |

Spectacular car!! The car destroyed i think is a 630 or 633 CS US. |

I really prefer the old E24 than the new... |

I agree with you Benny, I'm partial to the E24 M6 vs. the new E63 M6. But the new M6 is very cool. I've sat in one at BMW NA. There is a really cool video-clip comparing the new M6 to the old one (M635csi). It is in German. Really cool to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXeqh0rVIZw |

Thanks, I already saw it. |

It's not an `88 as it currently reads. It's a 1987. In 1988, all US E24's came with the shorter bumpers. |

This car has to be a 635CSi, and also has to be an "M". If you watch the scene where the trunk was opened, the car's model designation is there. Additionally, look at the front of the car, you should be able to see the "M" badge that's on the left side of the grille nearest the high-beam headlight on the driver's side. Additionally, as per the images given of the trunk, we can, at least see the "M" badge. |

At the end of the chase, the car crashes into a police cars, turns up-side-down and crashes into a store. I think it was a jewelery store. |

I believe the car that crashed was a 628 and it had a different set of wheels. It was running the metrics as opposed the the cross spoke BBS wheels |

And the M6 has a black panel behind the licence plate - the crashed (older) model doesn't. |

Anyone else find it funny that the fast BMW gets wrecked and the little Oldsmobile manages to elude the police? |
◊ 2012-09-02 16:19 |
Because GM supplied the GMC and the Oldsmobiles used in the film. |
