I remember in the episode where Hanks Ranger is dying, and gets hit by a train, it was a 1983-1984 model. This one here looks like a 90's model. |

That's right, this was a newish style Ranger when the show first started, but in that episode Hank had a much older truck. This is Hank's first truck which he uses as his everyday transport, appearing from the beginning of season 1 up to season 5. -- Last edit: 2008-02-16 14:25:22 |

In later episodes the truck switches to an F-series Super Duty Circa 1999 |

"In later episodes the truck switches to an F-series Super Duty Circa 1999" It doesnt switch. Hanks Ranger gets nailed by a train and he buys a Ford Super Duty F250 to replace it. |

In the first scene of the first episode Hank, Dale, Bill and Boomhauer are looking under the hood of Hank's truck (something they'll often do in future episodes). Dale: I know what's wrong with it, it's a Ford. You know what they say Ford stands for, don't you? It stands for "Fix It Again, Tony". Hank: You're thinking of a Fiat, Dale. |

In ep 2.05 luanne refers to it as a 92. |

Yet it uses the styling introduced for 1993. Damn cartoons! |

In episode 4.08 "Not in My Back-hoe", Hank meets another man, Hal, who has exactly the same name truck as him and share other things in common and they strike up a brief friendship. |

Like in a movie - switch out a newer model for a older model to destroy. |

Yes, in "Jumpin' Crack Bass" Luanne uses the 92 service manual to repair Hank's truck. |

Hank's Ranger Has the 1995-97 grille but has the 1993-94 dashboard. So.. I wonder which part matters.. I may go with the dashboard.. Well... I know that the grille is on the main thumb but... Okay. I don't know why I posted the thumb, but it had the close shot of the dashboard. -- Last edit: 2023-01-01 22:01:47 |
