'Londoners' were used locally in parts of former Yugoslavia in 1952 and were described as Leylands purchased from London Transport. Had interesting rear door not normally seen on UK busses. Additional door/s on the 'offside' suitable for driving on right. Am advised Busses used were 1938 AEC Regent STL and single deckers on other routes were cca 1937 AEC Regal. |

According to "British Buses Around the World" by Mike Fenton, Leyland PD1s from London Transport went to Sarajevo, Split and Mostar. Sarajevo acquired Guy Arabs (G class) in the 1950s and later RTLs, so some of those models might have gone to elsewhere in Yugoslavia. |

It looks like a Leyland body so probably an STD type Leyland bodied Leyland PD1. All 65 postwar STD type buses were sold to Yugoslavian companies, most had their staircases and platforms reversed and some got entrance doors behind the cabs. ![]() |
