old thread. but that van definitely was a dodge p-200 or 300 step van. dodge made the chassis and swift, Gerstenslager and possibly highway products made the body not sure but the windshield assembly could have been 3rs party I have only seen that type on US post office vans, bookmobiles, and bus and mobile showrooms. all which were custom made. the smaller Studebaker zip van was about 2.3s narrower and 5 ft shorter ri=ght hand drive and only made for rural type deliveries much like the llv of today. jeep built a similar one . the larger package and inter po models were mostly if not all made for post office and were used by business after retired. po only kept trucks around 10 yrs before llv. and Studebaker went out of car business in 1963 . |

Problem is, that they were build not only on Dodge chassis. Here's on Chevrolet --> /vehicle_41401-Swift-Step-Van.html |
