Looks like a 1985-1988 C1500 |

Why would it be a [C-1500]? Also, does this one come in Silverado trim? |

It would be C-10 and yes a Silverado. We can’t list it as a C-1500 as we don’t know for sure if it’s a 1988 version. |

But how come the other listed Suburbans don't have [C-10] also? |

Maybe because its hard to tell the grade of the vehicles. The difference in 4-wheel-drive and 2-wheel-drive is rather easy as 4WDs had solid front axles. But latly I have questioned the need for listing that info, because these have proper model names unlike the pickups of which they are based. -- Last edit: 2009-09-20 23:51:33 |

It's just a bit confusing (for me anyways) having so many different chassic codes and extra names and information and such. However, I do realize that these generation of trucks and SUV's had many different names. And we must also keep in mind that there are still MANY Chevrolet/GMC trucks/SUV's that are improperly identified, further addding to the confusion. |

I’ve always thought it would be better to list C-10 or K-10 etc ... in the extra info field (for these older Suburbans) instead of the chassis field. But that’s how it was when I first came here, so I followed along with the procedure. -- Last edit: 2009-09-21 00:00:01 |

Maybe you could talk to antp about how that information can be put in. I only say it because as you know, there's plans to change up the information listings (extra info, body style, etc) so maybe you could come up with a better way to have these listed. Just a suggestion, of course. |
