That's actually an XR600. Note plastic side panels blend in with fuel tank. The 250 was shaped differently, and the cylinder head is too large for the 250.

This scene was an reenactment of the attempted murder of McCann's associate, Thomas "Tough Tom" Domican who was shot at by allegedly Chris Flannery outside the Kingsgrove Police Station at Kingsgrove, NSW on the afternoon of the 12th April 1985.

At the time, Domican was being interviewed at the police station by Detective Sergeant Aarne Tees about a shooting incident that occurred on the night of the 3rd April 1985 where Domican's associates, Victor Camilleri and Kevin Theobold were shot at while driving around in their orange Ford Falcon looking for Domican.

Camilleri received a gunshot wound to his neck and shrapnel wounds to his shoulder and spent 10 days in the hospital while Theobold who was driving the Falcon, had escaped with no injuries.

It was suspected that the shooting of Camilleri and Theobold was also committed by Flannery in an act of retaliation for the murder of Flannery's associate, Michael "Melbourne Mick" Sayers who was shot outside his home in Bronte, NSW on the night of the 16th February 1985.

Domican, Theobold and Camilleri were later charged with Sayers' murder but were acquitted.

After the interview with Detective Sergeant Tees, Domican left the police station and was looking in the street for a taxicab when two gunmen on a motorcycle rode up and shot at Domican.

Domican survived the attempt with no injuries, it was suspected that Detective Sergeant Tees was working with gunmen and gave the signal to the gunmen on the motorcycle that Domican was leaving the police station.

It was also believed that shooting of Domican was a follow-up to the shootings of Theobold and Camilleri.
