'75 Le Sabre 4-door hardtop Edit: you're right the headlights are now round (in square casing but still) and the radiator grill runs along the full width of the nose under the headlights... -- Last edit: 2008-07-02 09:39:06 |

Sorry I took away my comment, I'm writing this so you don't appear to be conversing with yourself! There is a base and custom 4 door hardtop, which have different chassis/style numbers. I don't know if there is enough here to tell. -- Last edit: 2008-07-02 09:41:30 |

LOL, cheers... As for Custom or not, I wouldn't dare say, still trying to find the appropriate details on differences in trim, other than the tri-shield hood ornament, which was standdard on the Custom and ( I therefor assume) optional on the normal version. Thing is When ever I look at the 75 le Sabre, the shape of the Bonnet on this one is just ever so slightly off, the downward slant at the front end shouldn't be there... it is there on the Centurion though, which would suite the shape of the grille (slightly flatter) better as well, so I'm back to my original idea, this is a Centurion, rather than a Le Sabre.. which would make it a '71-'73 model as the Centurion discontinued after '73 Edit: please compare for confirmation: Centurion: Link to "images.google.nl" Le Sabre: http://www.buicks.net/images/75lesabre.jpg Unless older leSabres had the same bonnet as the Centurion, for whioch I have found suggestion, but no confirmation -- Last edit: 2008-07-02 10:15:49 |

It's a 1973 Electra 225 |
◊ 2008-07-03 15:27 |
that's another option, the style of the mesh in the grille seems to fit the Electra better... |

The number of columns on each side of the egg crate grille is 7, which fits with the 73. Photo of car for sale 4CT39 is the model number for the car that _philr_ references. -- Last edit: 2008-07-03 16:00:13 |

Yeah, I think the evidence so far justifies changing the listing to '73 Electra 225 as suggested... |

It's ether 4CT39 or 4CV39. Can't tell from this view. The Electra 225 Custom (4CV39) is far more common than the base Electra 225 (4CT39). -- Last edit: 2008-07-03 21:43:33 |
