However TAS series not a period issue but a more modern DVLA-retro plate, and these sometimes float from tree to tree more than period-genuine plates. If the Heartbeat crew of jolly jokers had wanted to plant a fake on this Whatever-It-Is, they would have had to use bike plates to get square rear and knife-edge on front mudguard, not just pluck a random number from their toybox.
