No. 1965 to very early 1968 hubcaps had a small hubcap and a big chromed wheel embellisher like Link to "www.flickr.com" 1968-72 had hubcaps covering the whole wheel like Link to "www.flickr.com" 1965-67 models also had the grill with smaller 'squares' which looks like a blur from a distance, while it got bigger 'squares' from MY 1968. Door mirrors became standard fittings from MY 1968. It looks to have quite a sturdy stem, but is forgiving at an impact. Earlier versions had a variety of door mirrors, but one is more common than others. That is present on this one Link to "www.flickr.com" . This is for sure a 1968+ model. That is also obvious as the 280 model was introduced in January 1968. -- Last edit: 2023-09-18 18:47:42 |

This is a MY 1969, only, because of the information at the ventilation levers. Not 1970+ as it doesn't have headrests. 1965-68 had a plastic black arrow pointing upwards between the levers Link to "assets.carandclassic.com" . 1969+ had a black square with white symbols Link to "classicmercedesparts.co.uk" . ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-10-02 09:40:14 |
