I thought it was just an ordinary Fairmont.

And it would be the first one on the site? Or is it Ford Fairmont Futura?

I really don't remember there being any Fairmont Futura Wagons, but even if there were it would have to be a Fairmont Futura.

If I am correct, the only "Futura" models were two-door coupes, I don't think there was a wagon version.

I originally thought that myself. Yet the grille in the link above was strictly on the Futura, and that's a wagon.

The grille was adopted for the entire Fairmont range toward the end of it's life cycle. The "Futura" label was only for the "coupe" model. In addition the station wagon body on the "fox" platform was eventually adopted by the Granada and LTD II range as well. The bumper design, with flush-fitted plastic end caps makes me think this is an LTD II wagon.

You may be right on the Ford [Fox] platform's LTD. Taillight design gave away.

rjluna2 you're right. The "small" LTD didn't use the "II" label.
