'63 Chrysler Newport? '64 New Yorker? -- Last edit: 2008-06-16 17:07:16 |

Round taillights make it a 1963 for sure. |

Yeah, but the protrusion atop the rear fenders looks more like '64. www.moby302.co.za/for_sale/1964_chrysler_new_yorker_03.JPG www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/images/eric64c08arev.jpg Ah, here we go. '63 300 J: www.misterw.com/Chrysler/63Chr2Dr07b.jpg -- Last edit: 2008-06-17 16:32:34 |

Nice one Skywatcher! The car at issue could possiby be a four-door hardtop, but may still fall into the category of "Coupé." I don't have the formal definition. Please accept my apology for asking this question, as I believe I did so similarly some time ago. -- Last edit: 2008-06-17 06:07:46 |

Thanks. I could be wrong but I think as far as IMCDb is concerned, a coupé has two doors. -- Last edit: 2008-06-17 16:34:25 |

Looks like a 2dr Newport to me, I believe a New Yorker would have more chrome trim, this looks pretty basic. comments? |

[quote=Skywatcher68]Yeah, but the protrusion atop the rear fenders looks more like '64. I've been looking at this picture for days and I tend to agree with Skywatcher68 about the fin-like protrusions on the rear fenders. I never noticed this trim detail before. It has to be a 1964. The taillights are too fuzzy to make out in clear detail and may actually be six-sided rather than round. Good catch Skywatcher68! |

Thanks. To be honest, I was considering the possibility that those were an opticial illusion caused by shadows but then I found the picture below. 1964 Chrysler 300 K. Check out the trim on the deck lid: cache.jalopnik.com/assets/resources/2008/03/64_Chrysler300_Rr_RH.jpg And here's a coupé. www.iwinski.com/images/DSC00073.JPG -- Last edit: 2008-06-20 16:25:25 |

Hmmm...on further consideration--and assuming this is indeed a 4-door--it's not a K, which were only offered as 2-doors and convertibles. -- Last edit: 2008-06-20 23:15:30 |

But there was a "non-letter" 300 4-door hardtop. -- Last edit: 2008-06-21 00:29:52 |
