It says Deutsch Bonnet in the Johnny Dark pages of fiberglasssportscars.com (where this pic comes from), and it is one indeed, same type of barquette who ran at Sebring or Le Mans in 1951-52.

Agree. DB Panhard HBR Sport, 1952 I believe. 13th place in 1952 Sebring 12 hours, class title in Watkins Glen...745cc and body By Antem

DB Panhard as make, or just DB like the two others of the site?

I'd say DB without Panhard. DB built racers and sports cars with CitroŽn engine from 1938 until 1949, but then CitroŽn refused to sell them their parts anymore. Since 1949 DB used Panhard based engines.

Some of the footage comes from Santa Barbara races arranged in September 1953. Definitely a DB "Barquette". Hard to see the number on this one, but if that is #95, then it is Fred Datig's DB "Le Mans" (745 cc).

DB HBR may however be the correct model designation for this car, race entries were often made with whatever the owner liked to call his ride.
