But this is a Fiesta '18 aka MkVII, why is it MY 2017??? |

Are you certain these are 2018s? The build sheet says it is a 2017 Modelyearfrom 2017 Manufactured 2017 Date 28/07/2017 -- Last edit: 2023-02-27 18:07:20 |

Strange. Most sources list it as Fiesta '18, even if published in 2017. And we list it as 2018, too, since the beginning: /vehicles.php?resultsStyle=asImages&yearFrom=&yearTo=&makeMatch=2&make=&modelMatch=1&model=Fiesta&modelInclModel=on&modelInclChassis=on&mk=7&origin=&madein=&madefor=&role= |

You can relist if you want. The build sheets are normally accurate. If we have any other early models with VINs we can check them. |

Nobody questioned the production year, but the generation before this had 2017 as last model year. Production started in May, on sale from July. AFAIK as 2018 models. But, as you know, US VINs are easier to read, the Euro VINs only give the manufacture date. -- Last edit: 2023-02-27 19:41:35 |

Ford of Europe use an odd MY system from what I recall, they do a lot of half and quarter MYs. Not really practical for us as (something we've lost sight of badly recently) we only really want the MYs inasmuch for sorting vehicles by features. |
