The size of the front wheel/tyre combination suggests that this is an ex army vehicle of some kind that has been re-bodied and put into civilian use. The bodywork looks semi-amateur, with no compound curves, and the front looks fairly unrecogniseable as it is too flat for an Austin and not the right shape for an OY type Bedford. There were lots of vehicles like this in the 1950s as new cars and trucks were in short supply and on long waiting lists, our local laundry had an Austin K2 with similar bodywork. I don't think that we shall be able to tell from this picture what the vehicle is. |
