Just going out on a limb, but is it possible this is a Volvo 1800 S? The novel calls it a P1800, which it isn't, but the shape of the front end got me thinking and I think it's a 1800 S. |

It's not an 1800S, the interior and body are wrong. The rims are right though, but missing the hubcaps. It doesn't have the quarter window the 1800 has either. |

Hi, this is not a Volvo, no Volvo has an outer door panel shaped like this. I'm thinking towards for instance a Ford Fairlane or Pontiac, but am not that familiar with US cars |

I doubt it's a US car, since the film is set in England. |

But I suspect that the animation was done in the USA (it was a UK-US co-production), since the IMDB lists an American film lab, Consolidated Film Industries. If the animators were in the US, they probably worked from reference photos of British and European cars, which might not have covered details like interior door trim. -- Last edit: 2010-06-15 16:55:49 |

Well, for the colour, wheel style, steering wheel type and dashboard, I suggest is a 1977-81 Honda Accord -- Last edit: 2011-11-16 01:45:59 |
