Utilisé durant la course-poursuite dans Paris avec le side-car dans lequel Marcel "Mar El" Bichon s'est embarqué avec le "tueur"!

Made for EU due to front sidemarkers.

ummm no, the factory sidemarkers and factory turn signals have been blanked off and extra parking lamps/turn signals were added to the front. Converted not made for.

What about these extra indicators on the front fenders?

rjluna2 that is what I refered to as parking lamps/turnsignals. These are common aftermarket items to bring the Jeep to EU specifications. I have an early french Jeep brochure that shows the CJ-7 without the US-Spec sidemarkers and turnsignals, where as this example still has them they are just blacked out.

It's actually "Made for France", due to the official "distribué par Renault" badge at the bottom of the chrome grille. ;)

There's another one at the back, near the foglight.

Also, the plate is from 1984, which was IIRC the year when Renault started to sell Jeeps in its french dealer network, and is registered in the "92" Département, where Renault is located. Due to the heavy product placement in the film, I'd say this Jeep is from 1984 and was loaned by Renault for the duration of the shooting.

The Jeep was very well visible for the chase scene, so indeed most likely a product placement.

I see that a page for the DAF was made on /vehicle_712757-DAF-46-Stationcar.html
I set a new pic, but it is nearly identical as the one here above, there isn't a really better view of it :/
