Sugar in the tank. I remember when they tested that on a motorprogram here in sweden, they poured a heck load of sugar stright into the carb on a Volvo Amazon, it didn't happen anything though.

DynaMike wrote New rims, still old rear bonnet: 1966.

Ingo wrote 1964+ VW 1200 or 1500

rpcm wrote The flatter hubcaps identify it as a 1966 car. It doesn't seem to have the vertical headlights that were introduced for 1967 in US-spec cars.

rjluna2 wrote I think this is more likely 1966 version due to '1300' inscription on the trunk. Does the any VW lover confirm this?

Ingo wrote I would confirm the 1966-modelyear. Big back lamps, big windows and especially the newer wheels with the flat hubcaps, so a 1966/67-model is quite probable.

By the way: as I know, VW has started to mount the inscription-badges in that years, too. The older VW's had no badges.

@rljuna2: it's not the trunk, where the "1300"-badge is mounted ;)

Ddey65 wrote Volkswagen Beetle(unknown year).

rpcm wrote Since it seems to have the flatter hubcaps, but the rear numberplate doesn't look vertically positioned, I would say it's a 1966 model.

chris40 wrote Agreed, 1966my. (I once had one.)
