Lack of hood ornament: 1950 or 1951. |

Are you sure the hood ornament wasn't an accessory, Lateef? I've seen MANY images of 1950, 1951 and 1952 Ramblers both with and without hood ornaments. |

The hood ornament only appears in the 1952 brochures. There are, however publicity photos of 1951 Ramblers that show the "flying lady" hood ornament, so it's possible that it was a mid-1951 addition. Cannot find any evidence that the 1950 models had them. The 1952 hood ornament, the Golden Airflyte AKA the "kneeling lady", may have been a delete option, though there's no mention of it in the brochure... So the lack of a hood ornament in those cases are probably related to owner preference or neglect. |

Many sources say that the first Nash Rambler station wagon were only available from 1951+ > https://motor-car.net/nash/item/22643-nash-rambler |

Yes... this brochure is described elsewhere too to be from 1950 MY (but without any readable year on it, that's not uncommon)... So maybe the wagon was advertised in 1950 - or 1950 1/2, but not available yet until next MY. Or the sources had made a mistake on that, not impossible too. We need a Nash expert! |

When first introduced for 1950, only a convertible was offered, but a wagon was added later on within the 1950 model year. The hardtop was not available until the '51 model year. |

The ladies can be found in the 51/52 accessories folders (samples found dated 09/50 and 05/52 respectively) |

Printed May 1950, this specific folder appears to have arrived at the dealer on July 17 |

If you look at the last page there's a stamp that reads 'Jul 17 1950'. The 1950 model year was a very short one for the Nash Rambler itself, with sales only commencing on April 13th, 1950. Usually it starts at the end of the preceding year. The short run is a particular reason for why the production number for 1950 models is abysmally low compared to the output of 1951 and 1952. 1,712 station wagons were made for the 1950 model year, while 35,754 and 24,107 were made for the 1951 and 1952 model years, respectively. While it is definitely more likely to be a 1951 model by production output, we put the first year of production, as they're pretty much identical in appearance. |
