As I have always understood it, it is both, in the same way as we refer to the RT as a Regent III Class RT, or similar title. Regent, Renown etc. were chassis names, the bodies fitted varied. /vehicle_391585-AEC-Regent-1939.html Below is an article detailing the wonderful selection of “Provincial” provincial Regents,not like RTs or STLs at all.
