Probably is the Elf - same black steering wheel and seat belts (which I think were still rare in 66). If not it's definitely a Mini of some sort.

Could be studio dummy with back projection film - there's no interior mirror, and roof doesn't look right - I'd expect glimpse of drip channel and white 2-tone, even in this close-up. Now I've started being suspicious, I wonder if the steering wheel's bigger than it should be. But I think it's fairly definite this is meant to be the Elf.

Meant to be - of course. :)

The Elf has shiny chrome (?) wipers and this does not.

Maybe the actress couldn't drive or didn't have a licence for a manual?? Elf did not get auto option until Mk3 in Oct 67.

It was very common to use 'dummy' cars for interior shots back then, in order to make it easier to film the actors clearly and not rely on too many expensive retakes. These dummies typically had the windshield removed and brightwork painted over with a matte finish.

This is a dummy it has no windscreen, the rubber is dropped to the left of the actress's head, and the windsgreen wipers are inside the car!!

...it is also because it is technically very difficult to film on a moving car because of the vibrations of the road and the engine, which considerably reduces the quality of the image ;)
