It also turns into a spaceship (apparently this movie was one of the first to extensively use CGI) -- Last edit: 2008-04-27 23:42:42 |

Looks a bit like the Zero concept car to me. |

This car is freaking awsome and this is one year before the Delorean from Back To The Future |

This is a redesign of the ground Spinners (ground Police Cars, Deckard's car) from Blade Runner. Gene Winfield of course designed all the Blade Runner vehicles. |

What can i say?! Ever since i saw this back in '87 (i was 7) it amazed me. It was this car that got me hooked on futuristic sci-fi movie cars. Something else i think is cool - not only is it gull-wing, it's a 4door gull-wing. How awesome is that?! Loved the interior too, especially the fighter-pilot steering. Much like knight riders K.I.T.T. |

According to IMDB it used a VW engine & was slow & noisy when driven due to the weight of the bodywork, so it needed some camera tricks to make it appear like it was going faster. |
