SD 661 is famous "The Rolls-Royce 15 hp was one of four cars produced as a result of an agreement made 23 December 1904 between Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. Badged as a Rolls-Royce, the 15 hp was produced by Royce's company, Royce Ltd, at its factory in Cooke Street, Hulme, Manchester and sold exclusively by Rolls' motor dealership, C.S.Rolls & Co., at a price of £500. ....... Of the six cars made only the second survives. Originally registered in London as a demonstration car for Rolls, it was later re-registered as SD 661. In September 1905 it was purchased by the Hon Captain T. Dundas of Northallerton and sold in 1907 to Alice Elizabeth FitzAlan-Howard, 11th Countess of Loudon and moved to Galston, East Ayrshire. In March 1908 it passed to Douglas Dick of Kilmarnock who already had a reputation as the first car-owner in the town. The car ended in the Doune Motor Museum under ownership of the Royal Scottish Automobile Club" from wiki.

A BBC website account adds further info - original plate was SD 98, and "It was owned by the Dick family in Kilmarnock for more than 60 years before it was gifted to the Royal Scottish Automobile Club in 1974. The gift stipulated the car must stay in Scotland and be displayed there, and it was on show at the headquarters of the now defunct RSAC in Glasgow's Blythswood Square and the motor museum at Doune in Perthshire, which closed in 1998. For most the time since then the car has been in Essex where restoration was to take place once the money could be found to carry out the work. While in England it was used by Rolls-Royce as part of its centenary celebrations. It also had a complete engine overhaul so it can actually be driven on the roads. The car has now been loaned to Glasgow Museums for an initial period of three years by the "Old Girl" trustees, who are in charge of the Rolls-Royce's interests and the terms of the will which gave it to them.".

The 2nd oldest RR still around - /vehicle_1151214-Rolls-Royce-15-hp-1905.html or maybe even THE oldest according to various claims.
