Indeed not very common vehicle in movies. But it's not that good car either. Sort of crapping on Saab brand. Using American SUV as a base to make Swedish semi-luxury. Swedish cars image has long time been safety, quality and design. Rebadged, glorified Chevy is not it. **Spoiler** That OnStar computer thing shutting down everything in the car and locking it up against driver's will was such an awful mistake in the film. It's not possible unless the criminal installed his own devices in the car... |

Well, not quite. Unlike a simple re-badgeing which seems to be GM hallmark, the 9-7x was treated differently in that the changes were noticeably substantial. The changes were mechanical and electronic, as well as being cosmetic. The front end received its own hood, headlamps, SAAB grille, front bumper, lower front bumper valance, front fender trim, and fog lamps. The body was altered by omitting additional cladding for a sleek appearance, unique lower rocker panels and running boards, distinctive alloy wheels were fitted (different designs were available) and the window trim was carefully arranged to complement SAABs sport wagons. The rear end received its own liftgate treatment with center appliqué and plate housing, rear bumper, anti-slip bumper step and lower rear bumper valance, tail lamps, exhaust and rear fender trim. The interior received upgraded materials, more subtle texturing, wood work and fine leather seating surfaces with accent stitching throughout (those enhancements are alone unlike GM) The dash was re-sculpted in favor of SAAB and even included SAABs signature swing out cup holders. Also the centre console was re-worked and included SAABs centre key start. The door panels were also reworked in design and included further accenting stitch work. Very little of the interior was left untouched in some way. Mechanical: The suspension system was altered and more sport tuned in favor of a responsive, controlled ride. Steering performance was also focused on. Steering feel, responsiveness and precision were improved, also in favor of Sport orientation. All-wheel-drive was standard featuring a Torsen (TORque SENsing) limited-slip center differential on all 9-7X models and featured a heavy-duty limited-slip rear differential. A 6.0 liter LS2 V8 was offered on the 9-7X Aero. Outputting 390hp and 395 lb.-ft. the SUV could clip 60mph on its way to 100 in well under 6 seconds. Despite its performance and high-end luxury orientation the 9-7X could still tow up to 6,600 lbs of trailer (which is impressive) and had an integrated trailer hitch with trailer electrics. Obviously a bit more than a simple re-badgeing. This was a very gifted SUV. |

The Saab 9-7X shares its exterior styling with the Buick Rainier and Oldsmobile Bravada, while the GMC Envoy shares styling with the Isuzu Ascender. The Chevy TrailBlazer doesn't look quite the same as any of its cousins. |

There is an issue. The Arc trim level was dropped for 2006 MY. So either this is an 2005 or we need to change the trim level to 5.3i. Arc went to 5.3i while Linear went to 4.2i. |

Without enough badges, it should be the 2005. |
