Called Polski 1500 in France, looks like export began in 1983. I think from 1987 the 1.5 was called Alizé and the 1.6 Mistral. From 1988 only the 1.6 was available in France and the name was reverted to simply Polonez.

Thank you Gamer! Seems to be exported since 1979. Other examples: /vehicles.php?resultsStyle=asImages&yearFrom=&yearTo=&makeMatch=2&make=fso&modelMatch=1&model=&modelInclModel=on&modelInclChassis=on&mk=&origin=&madein=&madefor=F&role=

Yes intorduced in Paris, in autumn 1978. 1st it was badged FSO "Polski" in France, then it was badged FSO "Polonez" and named Polonez for some time and then they indeed flew away with Alize, Mistral names (however cars still used to had "Polonez" badge at the back.)
