Yes. Part of me wants to say these were sold as Datsun in India (but I'm not even sure if 130 Series models were sold there in the first place?), but fender-mounted mirrors could suggest a privately imported Japanese-spec model. Since 1967-ish was the first year for most export countries of these models and this one has a very early grille, I'm tempted to say it's JDM. -- Last edit: 2022-07-25 23:17:09 |

IIRC no cars were imported commercially during the 1960s, because of the Indian government's protectionist policies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Licence_Raj dsl uses "made for IND" tags to make foreign cars in Indian films searchable, but they were really private or diplomatic imports. |

These Right Hand Drive models were usually sold by STC (State Trading Corporation) during 60's as imports weren't allowed unless in some rare cases. This model could be either an imports from Singapore (RHD) or used by Japanese or Singapore embassies. |

Earlydatsun page claims: 'The 130 went into production in October 1965, and went on sale early in 1966'. |
