Why 2019? These were debuted in Vietnam as 2018 MY in August 2018. Reverting to that year without a VIN or any official statement from Mitsubishi's Vietnam branch. Also, 2018-2019 in Vietnam were still imported from Indonesia, Vietnam started building these in mid-2020, which also introduces a light facelift. |

^ August of 2018 would indicate a 2019 model. Unless of course a VIN says otherwise. |

No, no, no, Dhill, 2018 MY is correct because AFAIK ASEAN models (like this) don't use VINs but possibly frame numbers like Japan, if not all of them. Based on my past experience, seems this topic about debating VINs vs. frame numbers on ASEAN-specific cars are very controversial to this day. This is likely due to a result of Southeast Asia's unfriendliness on showing VINs, which they keep censoring those, no matter what plate data we've pulled. Let's say if many of these ASEAN-specific cars like this have '0' on their 10th digits (as what Wikipedia says, I think), leaving that as a full moot point. I don't think Vietnam have a wide variety of public plate check sites. |
